My Boy

I took Frisco to the vet today. He has been going to the bathroom in the house and in his crate which is very unusual for him. He also seems to be cognitively disoriented at times. His preliminary urinalysis today reveals there is a problem. There were crystals in his clouded urine as well as some blood. They will have further results on Monday. At this point, they think it could be either a raging infection or he is beginning to have kidney failure.

It is sad to see him this way. His personality hasn't changed one bit. That is nice. He is still a sweet dog despite his confusion.

After the results are back, I will talk to the vet about what his future looks like and whether he would be able to make a move to California. I got the impression today she wasn't sure he would do well moving that far away. The other option is to have him put down if something doesn't happen to him before I go. I hate having to make that decision but I don't want him to suffer one bit. Time will tell.
