Improvements

Well, the news was good today. My prothrombin levels were within therapeutic levels (2.1...so just barely) and my doctor left my script at 8 mgs of coumadin.

Physical therapy was a bit different today. I have new exercises to work on extension of my knee/leg. I am supposed to lie on my stomach and allow my leg to hang off the edge of the bed for a minute at a time. Then bend and straighten five times before going back to letting my leg hang for a minute. I also was able to get on the bicycle today and rode for 10 minutes (2 miles). It was great to be able to put pressure on my knee and it work!! And, tonight I was able to go up the stairs like a normal person with one foot in front of the other (I did have to use the rail to help).

Hope I can walk tomorrow!! But, it was great to see that I am moving forward and getting to where I need to be.
