Uggh!

I spoke to the doctor today. My PT levels were still at 1.9. It won't go into therapeutic range. So, he increased my Coumadin again (8 mgs now). I asked why my levels weren't changing. He said that it depends on how fast the liver metabolizes the medication. Obviously mine is metabolizing it too fast and my PT levels remain the same. He told me that some people can go into therapeutic levels on only 3 mgs and others take 15 mgs to get there. Hope mine goes into that range very soon or I might start to look like a drug user with my arm being poked with needles each week. ;-)
