What A Day!
My day did not start off too well. Yesterday, a friend of mine came over to help me install a ceiling fan. Thanks, C! It is great to have a fan again, especially in this crazy heat wave we are having. Can't wait to get the next electric bill! :-\ But, last night before bed I set the clock and the alarm. Needless to say, it wasn't a good night of sleep. And, my neighbor allowed her dogs to bark for 45 minutes between 5:50 and 6:30 this morning right under my bedroom window (well, in their yard). So, I finally went back to sleep around 6:45 thinking I had about 30-40 minutes left. I woke up at 8:18 (almost an hour late). I had set my alarm correctly and it was turned on. But, in my tired stupor last night, I set the clock 12 hours off. So, I rushed to get ready and managed to only be 15 minutes late for work.
I did receive an email from a guy of interest that made the morning better. ;-) I might tell more if things go anywhere. (I know, you are probably thinking I am being a tease about this. Just want to see what happens first.)
Work went well. I was able to do some testing this morning. Then I headed to a friend's this afternoon for, yes, more studying. I am feeling a little more confident about this "dreaded" exam. One of my friends in the group paid me a very nice compliment. We were talking about the exam and all of a sudden she kind of sat back and said, "wow." She asked me if I wore contacts. I told her I did but they weren't colored ones. She told me I had the most beautiful eyes...the color differentiation between the rim and the iris amazed her. I thought it was a nice compliment and it definitely made me smile.
I am totally exhausted and have another couple of long days ahead of me before I head to the Outer Banks for a week. That should be nice. Too bad I will have to study while my friends are playing on the beach. But, I only turn a darker shade of pale anyway.
