Been a Studying Fool

So, it seems that I have been a studying fool and haven't kept up with my blog. Some things just seem to take the back burner when school needs arise. Several of us formed a study group and have been working on conceptualizing cases in order to practice for the first day of our exam on July 30. I think we will be ok. But, I will continue to review and learn to make sure. So, any of you reading this...I can use all the prayers I can get on that day for the knowledge to flow and a sense of calm to get through it. The second day of the exam is on August 6. So, between the 30th and the 6th, my group will work to get everything together and learn what we can. It will be a hectic week.

Other things in life...

I saw the dermatologist and had two places frozen on my arm that were precancerous. They seem to be doing pretty well.

Frisco (my Dalmatian) has had tests run to check his heart. He will turn 12 on the 29th. He has had a heart murmur for years. It is now a grade 3 and the decision was made to check his heart. So, he had x-rays, an EKG, and a cardiac ultrasound. Apparently he has a mitrovalve insufficiency which causes some of his blood to flow in reverse which could result in blood clots. Treatment: a baby aspirin a day and eventually change his diet to a senior food.

I have been able to spontaneously get out with a few of my friends over the weekend. A reward for long days of studying. But, I am done for the night and about to hit the bed.
