Weekend At Home

I went home this past weekend to spend time with my mom. It was a great weekend. I traveled home Friday in time to get a much needed haircut. However, on the way home I realized I had left my dress clothes hanging in my bedroom doorway. Not a good thing! Luckily my mom had already said she wanted to go to the mall. The department store was having a great sale and I was able to buy clothes for a fantastic deal. My mom and I met two others for dinner that evening and went home.

Saturday morning I watched the birds, squirrels, rabbits, and chipmunks play under the birdfeeders. And, the rest of the day was spent helping my mom out some. We went to Lowes to buy some plants and to Food Lion to pick up a couple of items I needed to make a cheesecake. I planted most of the plants and made my cheesecake. That evening I met a couple of good friends for dinner. One of them I hadn't seen in about 3 years and the other in about a year and a half. They are always fun to be around.

Sunday morning was the normal ritual, so-to-speak. We went to church and lunch with a group of people. Afterwards, we went home to prepare for the evening's festivities. One of my friends came by the house for a while to visit. Then we had 41 people at my mom's for a potluck supper. The weather was fantastic and we were able to spend time outside.
