A Better Day
Today was much better than yesterday. My mom and I headed to the doctor this morning. I liked him very much. My mom felt the same way. He had a great smile, a good sense of humor, compassion, and most importantly knowledge of my condition. He said told me my blood level on Monday was 1.35. He changed my Coumadin from 5mg to 6mg. I will go in for blood work on Friday or Saturday. And, starting Friday or Saturday I will begin just one injection of the Lovenox. Woohoo! That will feel much better. He is hoping that my blood levels will be where they need to be by the weekend. I will find out on Monday! Keep your fingers crossed!!
I have also been released to begin physical therapy. However, the doctor is not comfortable with me driving more than 10 minutes from the house until my blood levels are in the therapeutic range. I cannot fly right now either. But, once those levels are therapeutic I can be back in the air.
Mom and I ran a couple of errands and a friend came over for dinner. I am tired and in some pain (not too bad though) from the day.
