More Wireless Craziness!

My wireless network has decided it just doesn't like me. I called Toshiba one day after my friends so diligently helped me. They told me it was a software issue and to reload the original settings. I had three friends tell me they thought it was the network card. The guy at Toshiba told me a card won't go bad "all of a sudden". Not sure what part of last month or two he didn't understand. Of course, it was not an American I was talking to. I had a hard time understanding what the man was saying some of the time. But, I definitely caught the card bit. What is it?! I think my friends are right. One works for IBM, one works on networks, and the other is a programmer. I have a feeling they would know. HELP! Now I am stuck at the desktop again.
