Metro Craziness!

Okay, we all know that the DC metro area can be crazy and hectic. The news only talks about murders, rapes, shootings, people being run over, etc. It gets to the point that I don't want to watch the news anymore. I decided to see what the murder rate was for Prince George's County. In May, there was an average of one murder every 48 hours! And, it seems like that changes on a daily basis if you watch the news. Maryland appears to be in the top 5 states for the most murders. Yikes! What a thing to be known for. I am ready to return to NC.

And, to top off the craziness, there was a man on the metro tonight having a conversation with who? I am not sure. It looked like he was talking to an imaginary friend. He certainly wasn't talking to anyone around him. He discussed picking up his medications, the government, and numerous other topics. Didn't act paranoid. And, was coherent enough to let the gentleman sitting next to him out of his seat at a metro stop. His conversations seemed coherent as well. Just was talking to the air. He appeared clean and groomed, despite missing a lot of his front teeth. He was interesting to observe, especially for a graduate student in psychology.

You never know what you will see in this busy city.
