The Deep South

Some of you know that I am originally from Houston. Every time a hurricane attempted to go toward Houston, I was out of town. That may have been two times in my 18 years there. But, I have experienced hurricanes in the Carolinas and they are not fun. Nor is the aftermath. I can't help but think of the flooding that occurred in the Carolinas after Floyd when I see the news coverage of the Gulf Coast. Mother nature is magnificent. My heart aches for the people of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. I have traveled I-10 many many times. And, to see the pictures of the interstate broken in pieces. To see Biloxi in shambles. It is just so devastating. And, I don't live there. So, I can't even begin to imagine what the people who do are feeling, thinking, and dealing with.
