Cat Antics and Mysterious Phone Calls

Every night (except last night) since my return from the family reunion, my two 5-year-old cats have decided the bed is a great playground. Not just once a night either! Maybe they were mad at me for leaving despite having a human companion around. Due to their antics, I have been getting a lot of interrupted sleep. Last night they decided to go back to their normal routine. Yaaay! It was nice until the phone rang once at 3:30 am and then again at 4:30 am. My first thought was what is the emergency. What on earth could anyone be doing at that hour that they needed to call my phone number and let it ring once if it wasn't. The caller ID didn't even register the number. It reminded me of a time several years ago when the phone rang all throughout the night for a couple of nights with no one on the other end. I finally chalked it up to someone's computer system malfunctioning. Perhaps that is what it was last night. Hey, as I see it, if someone wants to call at that hour they could at least talk to you.
