Orthopedic Surgeon Update

I saw the orthopedic surgeon today. He was pleased with my recovery progress. I am to continue to work on getting my knee more flexible with greater range of motion and to get to the point where I can extend it to a straight position. I go back to see him in four weeks. I hope that I will be able to bend my knee to the 90 degrees if not more and be walking without a crutch. I told him today that the pain from the DVT was much worse than any pain I have experienced from the surgery.

I also went to physical therapy today. Good news!! I was able to bend my knee another 14 degrees. The straightening improved approximately 5 degrees. This has all happened since last Thursday. The therapist worked with me today to stretch my knee even further. I walked out of there feeling pretty good today. :-)
