Saw the Vet

I took Madison on a 45 minute car ride to see the specialist. They are super nice. The type of cancer he has is aggressive and treatments might prolong his life another 6-8 months. And, it is extremely expensive...radiation, possibly chemo, a cardiologist since he has a heart murmur, and anesthesiology. Madison has lost one pound in a year, which is a bit for a cat. However, a chest x-ray revealed that his lungs are clear. So, chances are it hasn't spread.

So, there are three options: aggressive treatment, palliative treatment, or nothing at all. Decisions, decisions, decisions. I am leaning toward nothing as hard as that is. Is he 13 years old and was a street cat. And, thousands of dollars to only prolong his life another 6-8 months?! I will think it over for a few days before I make a final decision. It weighs heavy.
