What a Weekend

I had a friend mention to me today that I haven't been updating my blog regularly. So let's see:

I spent Friday writing a paper. A friend called and I met him and two others for dinner in Tyson's Corner. My friend and I met another friend at H2O in DC for International Late Night Happy Hour. It was fun. And, my friend was a good sport. He says he doesn't know how to dance...which is true...but he got out there and danced anyway. We had a good time.

Saturday was spent at another couple of friends house to work on studying for our psychopharmacology class. I would say we worked on it for at least 7 hours. We actually had lunch and dinner together. Other than being brain dead at the end of the day, it was good and productive.

Today was again spent studying. I re-typed the study guide, looked up a few things I was unsure about, and began to study some more. I feel like I should be in a psychiatric residency. I am not going to be prescribing medications and we have to know what class they are in, the brand name as well as the generic names, the neurotransmitters that are affected, the disorders they can be used to treat, and their side effects. Sounds like fun, eh?! Not really. But, I am managing to get it in my brain. We also have multiple essays and terms to learn. I have most of the essays down. One is very perplexing to me. And, I need to learn some of the terms and remember the others.

I also managed to get my laundry done and vacuumed a bit. I also ran the vacuum to clean the air in the house for few hours. And, I took care of the litter boxes and took out the trash. I guess it was a productive day for the household chores as well...as much as it could be and study too.

So, I will head off to bed shortly so that I can tackle some of that tomorrow. The exam is on Tuesday evening. I have a little more time to cram the information into the brain.
