California and Internship Update

I crashed about 9:30 PST. I couldn't hold my eyes open any longer. But, a friend in England was kind enough to talk to me for quite a while before I crashed. It is always a fun chat. I crashed so early that I woke up at 2:30 PST. I was able to drift in and out for a couple of hours until it was normal time for me to wake up in EST. I had plenty of time to get myself dressed and ready for the interview. I walked across the way from the hotel and grabbed a bagel and apple juice for breakfast.

I went to the interview and met four great gals. The day was good. The campus of Casa Pacifica is absolutely amazing. It was very peaceful and calm for a program that works with socially and emotionally disturbed kids. The staff was great and laid back. We had group time this morning to meet and learn about the program. We had an individual interview, lunch, a group interview, and a second individual interview which was about case conceptualization. It seemed to go well. The five of us gals all stood out in the parking lot for a while after talking about this entire process and how we wished we could all 5 be selected as the interns for the program. We got along really well. So, I can say that I will at least meet some new people.

As for the rest of this process...I had three rejection letters yesterday and an invitation for a phone interview at a hospital in NC. So, I think I have nine more sites to hear from.

For now, I am off to relax and figure out what I would like to do tomorrow with my friend from high school in Marina del Rey. Relax...wow, I haven't done that in a while.
