Long Update
Okay, I have been busy and away such that I haven't updated on here in a bit. Let's see where to begin.
November 17: I went to work and it took forever to get there due to traffic...odd. I rarely have traffic on my way there. And, there was a lot of traffic on the way home. I think I spent a little over 3 hours in the car this day. Then, a friend wanted me to go to a party with her. So, I went and sat in more traffic. It wasn't too bad. But, I had already been in the car long enough that day. Four of us went to dinner before heading to this "party". We had a blast at dinner. The four of us could probably have a good time no matter where we were/are. Then came the "party". We were the only four to arrive. We asked this guy's girlfriend how they had met and it was "band camp" all over again! Then, he pulls out this game called Apples to Apples. It wasn't a bad game but we figured it would have been more fun with a different group of people. Once we got in the car...everyone was saying, "And, one time, at LA's friend's house, we had to play Apples to Apples." And, there is no justice for it on this blog. Much funnier in the car! We then went to Rock It Grill.
November 18: LA and I went to the Amish Market and the outlets in Queenstown. It was a great and relaxing day. I love the Amish Market (and, missed going this past Saturday). I found a shirt to wear on NYE in England. This night was spent working on a project for school. Not so much fun but necessary.
November 19: I think I spent the day working on school stuff and watching movies. Nothing too exciting.
November 20: The guys were here working on the kitchen. I had a massage and went to the chiropractor. I missed my first class...no water to take a shower. So, I spent a great deal of the time working on my project. Then I went to my evening class. And, began packing once I got home.
November 21: I loaded up the car and got the dog in the car and was on my way to NC. The drive wasn't too bad. Last year it took me about 8 hours to get home. I think it took about 5 this year. It began to rain once I hit the Richmond area. And, then I lost heat in my car that is only 13 months old. So, I called the dealership in Raleigh and scheduled for it to go in the shop the next day. I went to dinner with my mom and a couple of other folks...it was pouring down rain and cold at this point. Then, we took my car to the dealership. And, you guessed...Murphy's law took place...the heat came back on. I left the car anyway.
November 22: I took my mom to work and then went to the dentist. All was good there. They had to reseal one tooth (not because of a cavity but because of how the tooth grew in). I have been very lucky...only one cavity in my life. My mom called that she was able to leave work. So, I headed back downtown to pick her up and then we went to get my car. Of course they found nothing wrong and the heat continued to work...no charge. My mom's tire was low and the dealership was nice enought to check them for her and put air in her tires at no charge! He found a nail in her tire so we headed to a tire place to have them fix it. Well, they found multiple nails in two tires and didn't charge her for any work done. Luckily, none of the nails had penetrated the tube. We had lunch at Char-Grill and then I was off to get my hair cut...approximately 11 inches off. I need to mail the pony tail to Locks of Love. Mom and I went to church that evening.
November 23: Thanksgiving and yummy eats. A pretty mellow day. We had several friends from church over for dinner. It was a lot of fun.
November 24: I worked on a couple of school projects and then we headed out for some shopping. The crowds weren't too bad any place that we went. I found a really cool necklace at Ten Thousand Villages to wear NYE. Also found a couple of pieces of pottery. It was a good day.
November 25: I loaded up the car and headed home. I didn't get much done. I unpacked the car and my bag. I did manage to work on my project late in the evening.
November 26: I got up early to work on my project and pretty much got it finished before heading to a purse party. It was a nice time and very relaxing. I came home and finished up the project.
And, today...they are putting in a new door in the kitchen. We shall see how much actually gets accomplished today. I also have class.
So, now I am up to date!
