Kitchen Update

Let's see...frustration is the name of the game in this plan! I think the guy has worked a day and a half total. The kitchen is gutted and on Friday he came to pull up the floor because part of it was rotten. Luckily it was only about a fourth of the flooring. Hopefully they will show up on Monday and really start working. They asked for the second payment. I told the guy I would deal with the owner on that one. Once they are here and working like I was told, I will pay them the next payment. This project has been 8 months in the making, cabinets had to be reordered, and I was promised a start date where they could be here daily to work.

I just keep reminding myself it will be worth it in the end.

To sum it up: one week and the kitchen has been gutted and the ceiling had its initial prep work done for refinishing (only in the kitchen, not the breakfast room).
