Memories from Childhood

I was watching the CBS Early Show this morning. They were discussing "old" games making a comeback. One of the ones they mentioned was croquet. What memories I have of playing croquet. The neighbors across the street had a croquet set and we would play off and on growing up. Well, just make sure you where shoes when you play. I actually dislocated and fractured my big toe one time while playing. Don't ask how. But, I remember my friends telling me I had not broken my toe even though I could not walk on it. I hopped across the street and my parents (who were out in the neighbors yard chatting) told me to go put my foot up. What seemed like forever passed by and they finally took me to the ER. The doc put a writing pen between my toes and popped it back in place. I had to use crutches for a while too. What memories!
