Oh My! A Tree Fell

Oh my! The weight of the snow made a tree in my yard fall, knocking out part of a fence and going into my neighbor's yard. Yes, it is 5:45 am and it, I think, woke me up. I heard a strange noise, looked outside to see the tree lying on the ground. It was a pine and uprooted! That seems odd. Usually the tops just break off under all the weight. The good thing is that it didn't fall into my house!! It would have cut through the middle...and possibly in my bedroom. So, better the fence. Now, I will have to figure out how to keep Frisco in the yard until it can be repaired.

I turned on the weather channel to see what was happening with the Noreaster. It should stop snowing sometime this morning (under a Heavy Snow Warning until 10 am). However, they mentioned that there were lots of trees down in the area and many were without power.

But, I am sleepy and going to try and get back to sleep. We have a lot of snow on the ground. They say we should end up with 5"-8". Seems like we have 6"-7" on the ground already.
